Awareness part 2
I returned to the doctor that following week on January 25th to get an ultra sound of my uterus. Once the results was in I was told I had 3 big fibroids the size of grapefruits. The fibroids had stretched my uterus out to a 4 month old uterus. My body thought I was 4 months pregnant. Yes! 4 months pregnant. The doctor said I needed an emergency hysterectomy. But right then it couldnt be done because my blood level was still way to low. I really didnt want someone else blood running through my veins the doctor decided to give me 3 months to build my blood back up. In the meantime I was given a deppo shot to stop my menstruation to preserve all the blood I had.
Ladies please be aware of extra bleeding during that time of the month. Excess lost of blood and bad cramping can be a sign of over grown fibroids or sis on the uterus.
Did you know fibroids can become cancerous?

Awareness part 1
The ending of last year my body began to tire out quickly. Afterward it got worse! I was so tired I slept the New Year. Not on purpose, but because I couldn't help it. My energy was draining so quick I had enough to get up go to work and come back home to sleep. I had no energy to take care of my family. My life was quietly slipping away. I finally decided to call the doctor for an appointment and got one fort he middle of January.
I entered into my Drs' office on the 18th at 10:00. After the introductions I explained to him I've always been an anemic and I was diagnosed with fibroids back in 1998. From that he examined me and drew blood to check my hemoglobin level. I was scheduled to come in that following week for an ultrasound to see about the fibroids on my uterus.
That following morning my phone started wringing of the hook at 9:00. I answered it to hear the nurse for my doctors office saying how they were trying to get a hold of me after I left the office. Because I never went straight home they had stop calling after five cause it was closing time for them. She told me I had to get to the pharmacy as soon as possible because my blood level was so low I really need a blood transfusion. Im jumping up up out of bed panicking with millions of things running through my head. The last thing in the world I wanted was someone else blood running through my veins. She told me the iron pills prescribed would help until my next visit with the doctor. Then we hung up.
Everyone your blood level should be no lower than a 12.0, mine was 6.0. Please if your feeling fatigued more than usual get checked by your doctor it can be serious stayed tuned tomorrow for part 2.
